인지학적 건축론을 기반으로 한 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간 특성 분석

본 연구의 목적은 새로운 교육공간으로서 인간중심의 교육공간인 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간 특성을 분석하여 현재 교육공간에 나타나는 문제점들의 대안으로서 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 슈타이너는 인간중심의 이론인 인지학을 기반으로 하는 발도르프 교육론을 제시하고, 인간본질을 통한 발도르프 학교를 설립하게 되었다. 이러한 인간본질을 중심으로 한 발도르프 교육론의 특성은 인지학적 건축론에 나타난 특성과 깊은 연관성이 있는 것을 파악할 수 있다. 이를 통해 발도르프 학교의 건축적 특성이 슈타이너의 건축공간에 나타난 특성을 통해 많은 영향을 받은 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 슈타이너의 건축 공간적 특성을 기반으로 해서 현대의 시대적, 환경적 상황에 따라 변화하는 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간적 특성을 고찰한 것이다. 연구의 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시대의 요구를 반영한 교육공간으로서 발도르프 학교의 교육공간을 분석하기 위해 인지학의 이론적 고찰을 한다. 둘째, 인간을 중심으로 하는 인지학과 전인적 교육의 토대가 되는 인간본질을 통해 인지학적 건축론과 발도르프 교육론의 특성을 파악하여 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간적 특성의 생성과정을 분석한다. 셋째, 인지학적 건축론을 기반으로 한 슈타이너의 건축 공간 특성을 통해 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간 특성을 분석한다. 이를 통해 현재 교육공간의 획일적이고 집단적 교육환경의 문제점을 인간중심의 개성 넘치는 발도르프 학교의 교육공간으로 제시해보고 나라별, 지역별 상황에 따라 다양한 형태로 생겨나고 있는 발도르프 학교의 건축 공간적 특성을 통해 우리나라에도 새로운 교육공간으로서 가능성을 제언해보고자 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to analyze characteristics of Waldorf schools’ architectural space, a human-centric educational space, as a new educational space and consider it as an alternative to the problematic current educational spaces. Steiner presented Waldorf education theory which was based on anthroposophy, a human-centric theory, and established a Waldorf school based on understanding of human nature. Characteristics of this human nature-centric Waldorf education theory were found to have a deep connection with characteristics of anthroposophic architectural theory. This proves that architectural characteristics of Waldorf schools has been greatly influenced by characteristics of Steiner's architectural space. Based on characteristics of Steiner's architectural space, this study aims to consider characteristics of Waldorf schools’ architectural space which vary depending on situations of the times and environments in modern times. Methods of the study are as follows. First, anthroposophy is considered theoretically to analyze educational space of Waldorf schools as an educational space which reflects the needs of the times. Second, creation process of architectural spatial characteristics of Waldorf schools is analyzed through the grasp of characteristics of anthroposophic architectural theory and Waldorf education theory through human nature that is the foundation for the human-centric anthroposophy and whole-person education. Third, characteristics of Waldorf schools' architectural space is analyzed through Steiner's architectural spatial characteristics based on anthroposophic architectural theory. Through all these methods, the study aims to present the educational space of Waldorf schools which is human-centric and full of characteristics as a solution for problems of standardized and collective educational environment of current education space and also suggest possibilities of implementing Waldorf schools as a new educational space in Korea based on architectural spatial characteristics of Waldorf schools which are popping up in various forms according to situations by country or region.
