시각적 복잡성 연구고찰 Ⅲ - 가로경관의 시각적 복잡성 영향 요소 및 분석방법 -

본 연구는 ‘시각적 복잡성 연구 고찰 Ⅰ,Ⅱ’와 연결되는 연구로 가로공간에서 시각적 복잡성에 영향을 주는 요소를 선정하고 분석방법을 설정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 가로공간의 구성요소를 밀도 있게 고찰하였지만, 연구 목적이 상이하여 이것을 영향요소로 차용하기에는 대부분 적절하지 않았다. 그래서 건축과 가로공간에서의 ‘선과 면’을 고찰하여 영향요소 선정 가능성을 탐색하였다. 또한 본 연구와 관련된 이전 연구들을 종합하여 시각적 복잡성 요소 선정의 원칙 9가지를 도출하였다. 이를 기준으로 시각적 복잡성에 영향을 주는 요소를 ‘시각적 물리량’ 측면 3가지, ‘시각의 질’ 측면 2가지, ‘시각적 구성’ 측면 6가지 등 총 11가지를 선정하고요소별 분석방법을 제시하였다. 세부적으로는 대항목 11가지, 소항목 31가지를 선정하였는데 대항목 요소를살펴보면, 시각적 물리량은 연장된 수평선 개수 대비 수직선 개수의 비율을 건축물 정면(F)과 정면의 양쪽 방향(D1, D2)에서의 분석을 선정하였다〔V/H(F), V/H(D1), V/H(D2)〕. 시각의 질은 바닥면 패턴과 장식면적비율을, 시각적 구성은 바닥면 변화, 시각적 연속성, 근경면적비율, 윤곽선, D/H, 건축물 순외피의 면적대비 간판면적비율을 선정하였다. 연구방법은 문헌고찰과 함께 디자이너의 직관 및 통찰을 함께 사용하였으며 본 연구의 의의는도시경관의 시각적 복잡성 영향 요소 연구의 부재 속에서 구체적인 요소를 선정하고, 분석방법을 제시한데 있다. 제시된 요소들은 ‘시각적 복잡성 연구 고찰 Ⅳ’에서 유의미한 요소를 통계적으로 도출하여, 시각적 복잡성모형을 제시할 것이다.
Abstract
This study is related to 'Visual Complexity Research Study I and II' presented by the researcher. The purpose of this study is to select the factors that affect the visual complexity in street space and to set the analysis method. For this purpose, the components of the street space have been considered, but most of them are not appropriate for borrowing it as an influence factor. Therefore, it was investigated whether 'line and plane' could be selected as an influence factor. In addition, the researchers' previous researches are summarized and nine standards of influence factor selection are derived. The factors that meet these standards were selected for the visual physical quantity(3), quality of vision(2), and visual composition(6). Visual physical quantity are composed of ①the ratio of the vertical and horizontal lines〔V/H(F)〕, ②the ratio of the vertical and horizontal lines from both sides of the facade〔V/H(D1, D2)〕. Quality of vision are composed of ④pattern of street floor, ⑤ornament of architecture. Visual composition are composed of ⑥ variation of street floor, ⑦visual sequence, ⑧area ratio of short range view, ⑨street section contour, ⑩D/H, ⑪area ratio of sign and genuine skin of architecture. The research method used literature review and researcher's intuition and insight. The value of this study is a discussion of specific influencing factors and analysis method in the absence of factors affecting visual complexity of urban landscape. Based on the influence factors that are the result of this study, the researcher try to statistically derive meaningful factors and suggest a visual complexity model in the next study, 'Visual Complexity Research Study IV'.
