스마트폰과 관련된 기술이 다각도로 발전하고 편의성이 극도로 향상되며, 스마트폰은 일상생활에서 없어서는 안될 존재로 자리 잡았다. 하지만 이런상황을 이용해 이득을 취하려는 해킹 기법 역시 함께 발전되고 있는데, 최신스마트폰 위협에 대한 연구는 아직까지 많지 않은 실정이다. 때문에 이와 같은최신 해킹 기술들은 잘 알려져 있지 않고, 전문가가 아닌 이상 위협의 존재자체도 인지하지 못하는 이들이 많다. 특히 최근 SKT 해킹으로 인해 위기감이고조된 심스와핑도 우리나라에서는 피해 사례가 많지 않아 그 위험성에 대한인식이 부족했었다. 본 논문은 이러한 상황에서 최신 해킹 기법들의 기본적인원리와 피해 사례를 국내·외 논문과 기사자료 분석을 통해 소개하고자 한다. 또한, 군 환경에서 이런 기술들이 어떠한 보안 위협이 될 수 있을지 경각심제고를 위해 시나리오 형태의 사례를 구상하여, 차후 이러한 위협에 대한대응방안 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 하였다.
Abstract
Smartphones are inevitable tools in our daily lives and have become the new prey of choice for nefarious hackers equipped with emerging technology. However, despite the growing security threats to our devices, there is still a lack of research investigating the latest hacking threats and new vulnerabilities in mobile devices. This is partly due to the underreporting of hacking incidents and limited knowledge dissemination regarding relevant technologies. Due to the recent SKT hacking incident, awareness of the risks associated with SIM swapping has grown, although the low number of cases in Korea had previously led to a lack of recognition of its seriousness. To this extent, this study conducts a content analysis to provide a systematic review of relevant literature to fill this research gap. Particularly, this study has two purposes. First, it aims to develop scenario-based case studies to raise awareness of security threats in the military domain. Second, it aims to provide foundational studies addressing countermeasures for the future. Contributions, results, and policy implications are discussed in the final section.
