하나님의 구원의 ‘적기’(καιρὸς)에서 ‘완수’(τέλος)까지 : 마가복음의 구원론적 해석(막 1:14-15; 13:1-7)

초록

이 논문은 마가복음에 투영된 하나님의 구원 ‘시기’에 대한 문화인류학적 통찰이다. 신약성서의 네 개 복음서 중 마가복음은 온 세상의 통치자로서의 예수를 성실히 반영하고 있다. 성서의 구속사적 맥락에서 볼 때, “때가 찼다”(막 1:15)의 수사학적 진술은 인류의 구원사에 하나님의 개입과 질서에 대한 당위성을 제공한다. 예수가 활동하던 주후 30년의 유대-팔레스타인의 패권자는 로마제국이었다. 마가복음은 그 세속적 권력에 맞서 하나님의 ‘복음’(euangelion, 좋은 소식)으로 응수한다. 예수 그리스도의 도래로 인한 평화와 안전은 하나님의 오랜 구원 약속에 대한 성취 선언이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 논문이 제시하는 ‘καιρὸς’와 ‘τέλος’의 용례는 유의미하다. 특히, 마가복음 1:15에 ‘시기’(καιρὸς)와 13:7에 ‘완수’(τέλος)에 대한 접근과 논의는 마가복음 내에서 하나님의 언약적 구원이 미비하다고 지적하는 부분을 증명하는 데 있어서 좋은 주제가 된다. 마가복음 내에서 ‘καιρὸς’는 로마제국의 세속적 권력에 도전하며 하나님 구원의 도입과 전개의 역할을 충실히 해내고 있으며, ‘τέλος’ 역시 예루살렘 성전의 영원성에 대한 종말 소식과 그 회복으로서의 하나님 구원의 목표와 완수를 반영한다.

Abstract

This article is a Cultural-anthropological insight of the‘Timing’ of God’s salvation reflected in The Gospel of Mark. Of the four Gospels, the Gospel of Mark faithfully reveals Jesus as the ruler of the world. In the context of the redemptive history of the Bible, the rhetorical statement, "the time is fulfilled"(Mark 1:15), provides justification for God's intervention and order in the history of salvation of humanity. The hegemony of Jewish-Palestine in A.D. 30, when Jesus was active, was the Roman Empire. The Gospel of Mark responds with the gospel of God(euangelion, good news) against that worldly power. The peace and security resulting from the advent of Jesus Christ is a declaration of fulfillment of God's long-standing promise of salvation. In this context, the examples of ‘καιρὸς’ and ‘τέλος’ presented in this article are significant. Especially, approach and dispute of the ‘Timing’(καιρὸς) in Mark 1:15 and ‘fulfillment’(τέλος) in 13:7 are good subjects in providing the point in Mark that God’s covenant salvation is insufficient. In Mark, 'καιρὸς' challenges the temporal power of the Roman Empire and faithfully plays the role of introducing and unfolding God's salvation; and ‘τέλος’ also reflects eschatological news of the eternity of the Jerusalem’s temple and the goal and fulfillment of God's salvation as its restoration.
