이 연구는 환경파괴와 생태계 위기로 인해 새롭게 주목을 받는 ‘생태신앙’(eco-faith)을 토대로 조직신학의 주제들을 반성하고 재해석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 두 단계로 전개되었다. 첫 단계는 환경파괴 원인에 대한 신학적 반성과 그 해결책의 하나로 대두되는 패러다임의 전환 문제를 복음주의 입장에서 비판적으로 검토하는 것이다. 두 번째 단계는 생태신앙의 관점에서 조직신학의 주제들을 통해 창조에 관한 전통적인 견해들을 성찰하는 것이다. 연구 결과에 따르면 그 주제들의 생태적 의미는 세 가지 측면에서 확인된다. 첫째, 하나님의 형상으로 지음을 받은 인간은 하나님이 부여하신 ‘청지기 역할’을 잘 수행해야 할 존재요, ‘다스리고 정복하라’는 하나님의 생태명령은 자연을 잘 관리하고 돌보아야 한다는 의미로 이해해야 한다. 둘째, 인간의 죄는 수직적 관계에서 하나님의 명령에 순종하지 않는 형태로, 수평적 관계에서 다른 피조물의 존재가치를 인정하지 않고 파괴하는 것으로 표출된다. 따라서 하나님과 인간 사이의 개인적인 죄뿐만 아니라 사회적 죄, 생태적 죄를 죄 자체로 보아야 한다. 셋째, 그리스도 십자가의 구속행위는 인간에게만 적용되는 것이 아니라 모든 피조물에게 미친다. 그리고 그리스도 안에서 새로운 피조물이 된다는 것은 새로운 세계 안에서 사는 것을 의미한다. 그러므로 이 시대의 생태신앙은 그리스도인들에게 다음과 같은 실제적인 변화를 요구한다. 첫째, 청지기의 사명을 받은 그리스도인은 피조세계가 인간의 죄로 파괴된 것에 대해 ‘회개’하고, 생태계를 파괴하는 죄악을 더 이상 범하지 않겠다고 ‘다짐’해야 한다. 둘째, 그리스도인으로서 우리는 새로운 세계에서 살아가야 할 마땅한 삶의 방식, 즉 ‘제자도의 삶’을 실천해야 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reflect and reinterpret the themes of systematic theology based on 'eco-faith,' which is receiving new attention due to environmental destruction and ecological crisis. This study was developed in two stages. The first stage is to critically examine the theological reflection on the causes of environmental destruction and the paradigm shift that is emerging as one of the solutions from the evangelical point of view. The second stage is to reflect on traditional views of creation through the themes of systematic theology from the perspective of ecological faith. As a result of this study, the ecological meaning of the themes was found in three aspects. First, human beings created in the image of God have the ‘stewardship role’ that God has given them. God’s ecological command to ‘rule and conquer’ should be understood as the meaning that nature should be well managed and cared for. Second, human sin is understood as the disobedience to God's command in a vertical relationship, and as the destruction of other creatures without acknowledging the existence value of other creatures in a horizontal relationship. Therefore, not only human personal sins as against God, but also social and ecological sins should be viewed as sins themselves. Third, Christ’s redemptive act of the Cross applies not only to human beings, but also to all creatures. And to be a new creation in Christ means to live in a new world. Therefore, the ecological faith of this age demands the following practical changes from Christians. First, Christians who have received the mission of stewardship must ‘repent’ the destruction of the created world through human sin, and ‘resolve’ that they will no longer commit the sin of destroying ecosystems. Second, as a Christian, we must practice the proper way of life, namely, the ‘life of discipleship’ to live in the new world.
