이사야서에 나타난 ‘여호와의 종’의 선교리더십과 현대 선교적 논의

한 지도자의 세계관과 인격과 삶은 주변에 영향을 미친다. 오늘날 한국 교회의 선교리더십은 전성기를 넘어 목회현장과 선교지에서 다양한 측면들에서 위기를 맞고 있다. 20세기 초에 선교 모라토리움 현상을 겪었던 서구 교회들의 위기가 오늘날 우리 한국선교계에도 닥쳐왔다고 할 수 있다. 이런 시기에 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 선교리더십을 다시 살펴보고 재무장하는 것은 필수적이며 요긴하다. 그런 점에서 이사야서 후반부에 나타나는 ‘종의 노래’를 묵상하는 것은 의미 있는 일이라고 본다. 종의 노래들에 나오는‘여호와의 종’은 여러 가지 해석이 있으나 결국 메시야와 이스라엘 백성 공동체로 압축된다. 이를 신약적 성취로 본다면 여호와의 종은 예수 그리스도와 교회, 혹은 그리스도인들로 해석된다. 여호와의 종의 선교 리더십을 정리하면, 확고한 소명감, 소외된 자들에대한 관심, 연약한 자들에 대한 긍휼과 사랑, 박해와 고난에 대한인내로 나타난다. 본고는 선교리더십의 정의를 고찰하고 이사야서의 네 편의 ‘종의 노래’ 본문에 나타난 여호와의 종에 대하여 구약주석과 선교 신학적 문헌들을 통하여 고찰하였으며, 선교리더십이란 관점으로 재해석하고 오늘날의 선교상황적 이슈들과 관련하여적용점들을 제시하였다.
Abstract
A leader’s worldview, personality, and life affect his or her surrounding people. Nowadays the missionary leadership of the Korean church is in crisis with various aspects in her pastoral field and mission field beyond its heyday. It is said that the crisis of the Western church in the beginning of the 20th century, which had caused the phenomenon of moratorium of mission, was succeeded by the Korean church today. It is essential and necessary to reexamine and rearm the missionary leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ at this time. In this respect, it is meaningful to meditate on the ‘song of the servant’ that portrays in the latter half of Isaiah.The ‘servant of Jehovah’ revealed within the song of the servant has various interpretations, but this is eventually compressed into the Messiah and Israelite community. If we regard it as a New Testament achievement, Jehovah’s servant can be interpreted as Jesus Christ, the Church, or Christians. The missionary leadership of Jehovah’s servant is manifested by a firm calling, care for the marginalized, compassion for the weak, the patient, and the persecuted. Therefore this article examines the definition of missionary leadership and the Jehovah’s servant throughout the four ‘Song of the Servants’ texts of Isaiah, the Old Testament commentary and mission theological literature, reinterprets it in terms of missionary leadership. Furthermore these presented applications suggest in relation to their situational issues.
