내부자 운동에 대한 성서신학적 고찰- 예루살렘 공의회(행 15장)를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 사도행전 15장을 바탕으로 무슬림들 가운데의 내부자 운동에 대하여 고찰한 것이다. 내부자 운동의 지지론자들은 사도행전 15장을 ‘예수를 따르는 무슬림’(MB)들의 단일 정체성 혹은 이중 정체성을 지지하는 근거 본문으로 삼아 왔다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 두 가지를 목적으로 수행되었다. 하나는 사도행전 15장을 신학적으로 검토하여 본문이 내부자 운동을 지지하는 근거가 될 수 있는지를 판단하는 것이고, 다른 하나는 사도행전 15장으로부터 현대 상황에의 적용을 위해 필요한 원리들을 탐구하는 것이다. 본문을 석의한 결과, 사도행전 15장의 유대인-이방인은 그리스도인이라는 새로운 종교적 정체성을 공유함에 따라 각각 기존의 종교 정체성을 존속하려는 내부자 운동의 도식에 그대로 적용하기 어렵다는 결론에 이르렀다. 한편 본문의 이방 신자들에게 교회의 연합을 위해 주어진 네 가지 금지령의 구약 배경을 통해서는 유대인들과 그들 중에 거류하는 이방인들에게 각기 다른 양상으로 주어져 있던 하나님의 사랑이라는 기준이 나타남을 볼 수 있었다. 그것으로부터 진행 과정, 그리고 연합을 위한 자유와 사랑이라는 속성이 사도행전 15장의 본문에서 현 상황에 적용할 수 있는 원리로 도출되었다. 이상의 내용을 구체적으로 적용해 나아감에 있어서는 신약의 다른 책들을 비롯하여 사도행전의 더 큰 맥락이 ‘외부자 운동’을 증거하고 있다는 사실에 보다 주의를 기울여야 한다는 전망으로 결론을 맺었다. 이는 사도행전 15장과 내부자 운동의 관련성에 비추어 볼 때 본문과 무슬림 정체성을 존속하는 것은 직접적인 개연성이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 교회의 연합을 위해 주어진 네 가지 금지령은 현대 교회의 연합과 일치를 위한 상황화 전략에서 얼마든지 다양하게 적용될 수 있기 때문이다.

Abstract

This study has dealt with the Insider Movement(IM) among Muslims based on Acts 15. As proponents of IM believe that Acts 15 gives a solid biblical foundation for the movement, thus the question about its validity from a biblical point of view has been raised. This study has been carried out with two purposes as follows. One is to examine Acts 15 whether it supports IM or not in exegetical dimension. The other is to draw some particular principles from the text and apply them to modern context in practical dimension. Through the discussion, I came to a conclusion that the hermeneutical frame of Jew-Gentile in Acts 15 can hardly be applied as it is to the current Christian-Muslim, because the Jews in Acts 15, in common with the Gentiles, shared their religious identity whereas IM does not. Principles derived, however, which are the nature of process, and love and freedom for unity of the church have turned out to be compatible with both sides of proponents and opponents of IM, although its application has been differently pursued. In conclusion, I suggested that those who are involved in IM might need to be more concerned to the 'outsider movement' in the Bible when they draw specific applications from the Bible. For Acts 15 has no direct probability with holding on to Muslim identity, and the bigger narrative of Acts as well as the whole New Testament tells more about people who lived as outsider in the hostile world.
