동성애와 차별금지법에 대한 로잔운동(Lausanne Movement)의 신학적 입장에 대한 고찰 -4차 대회 선언문 작성을 위한 한국교회 역할을 위한 제언

Abstract

While recognizing the contributions and efforts of the Lausanne Movement over the past 49 years in proclaiming the unchanging gospel to a changing world, the writer urged the Lausanne movement to rediscover its original purpose of prioritizing the ‘proclamation of the gospel’ to achieve global evangelization as it approaches the 4th Congress in 2024, Through this study, the writer examined the theological and practical positions that the Lausanne has taken regarding homosexuality and anti-discrimination laws in its 49-year history. The Korean church has opposed homosexuality(including LGBTQ) and anti-discrimination laws based on biblical teaching. The Korean Lausanne committee has an important role which the voice of the Korean church should be reflected in the declaration of the 4th Congress held in South Korea in 2024. In light of analysis of this writer on the Lausanne’s approach to resolving the issue of homosexuality presented in Cape Town in 2010, the writer concluded that the 2010 Cape Town Congress approved the positions of Western society and Western church where homosexuality is legalized. The 2020 Cape Town view on homosexuality falled short of representing the eternal, unchanging truth of human sexuality, designed by God and created by Him, Therefore this writer requested that the role of the Korean Lausanne Committee should make an important effort to discuss the issue of homosexuality again at the 4th Congress grounded in the Bible’s teachings, and the truth about the biblical sexuality which is a blessing and privilege given by God to humanity.
