대학 화법 교육을 위한 인터뷰와 프레젠테이션의 통합 방안 모색

Abstract

To provide university students with education for speech communication, this study suggests educational activities to collect materials for presentations and produce contents and then share the outcomes with students through presentations grounded on expert interviews. ‘Presentations based on expert interviews’ begin by planning interviews with the purpose of helping university freshmen to solve the problems or difficulties that they or their fellow students currently have. By experiencing the steps of recruiting interviewees and then starting, proceeding with, and finishing conversations with strangers sequentially, students can acquire strategies to speak for a request, make and ask questions, and have official conversations. Using the realistic and vivid data to prepare and give a presentation, they can experience communication to provide information that the audience need. Providing education that integrates interviews with official conversations and presentations in that way, students learn how to speak efficiently in the current condition that education for communication provided to university freshmen is being reorganized mainly for writing. It also has another meaning that students can improve their ‘ability to speak through speaking’ by performing colloquial communication with real participants in real situations according to their own needs and purposes. This study is conducted on the premise of a face-to-face class situation before the pandemic, so there is a limitation that it is difficult to be applied in a non-face-to-face situation. Accordingly, it needs to be complemented with follow-up research on the educational methods of media-based interviews or presentations.
