The purpose of this paper describe the history of the policies of the purified terms by the Korean Government and search for the direction on the modification of these terms. The first of purified terms policy was the URIMAL DORO CHATGI (recovery of the Korean Language, published by MUNGYOBU) in 1948. At this time, At this time, the campaign to purify meant the elimination of Japanese remnants. Many Korean scholars were interested in language problems. This book was as a result of a campaign to purify the Korean language. The Korean Government enacted these purified terms 15 times from 1969 to 2013. These materials were managed throw several files, which were a home-page, a dictionary and other types. The National Institute of the Korean Language came together with these terms, of which 22,585 terms remained. But these enacted materials had many problems, which were selecting terms and the purified methods. The NIKL formed ‘the refined guidelines of purified language’. The criteria for the purified language modification consiste of ‘selecting words, the original language information, refined manual’ etc. The guidelines came into service to improve the purified terms. I think that these works to solve the problems of purified terms. I suggest that to gather other purified materials not public noticed by government.
