Abstract

In this paper, we discussed how the logic of Korean dictionary compilation is reflected in the system and contents of the Korean dictionary. In Chapter 2, we analyzed the discussion of the modern Korean dictionary compilation, and explained that the purpose awareness of compiling the Korean dictionary was deepened with Korean establishment activities. In chapter 3, we examined how the compilation logic of the Korean dictionary compilation was changed after Korea-Japan Annexation. In 3.1, the Korean dictionary compilation project was evaluated as the response of the national language movement camp to the Korean management policy of the Japanese Government-General of Korea. In 3.2 we explained that the logic of the Korean dictionary compilation is based on the pride of Korean and the self-reflection on standardization of Korean. In chapter 4, we explained that 『Keun Sajeon』 was compiled in parallel with the activity of rebuilding Korean language after liberation, and after the 『Keun Sajeon』the logic of Korean dictionary compilation, was changed in the direction of emphasizing practicality.
