노인 무용교육을 위한 교수학습방법 탐구 - 미적 발달이론을 기반으로

본 연구는 ‘노인들은 왜 무용을 배우는가?’에 주목하여 노인 무용교육을 위한 교수학습방법을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 노인 무용교육에 대한 문헌 연구와 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였으며 미적 발달이론에 기반하여 노인 학습자들을 위한 무용교수학습방법을 탐색하였다. 미적 발달이론을 토대로 미적 경험의 축적과 발달이라는 관점에서 노인 무용교수학습방법에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 미적 발달을 위한 무용교육의 핵심요소는 ‘기억의 장소로서의 신체, 경험이 응축된 움직임, 몸짓에 배어있는 감정’이며 이를 중심으로 노인 학습자의 특성과 개별성을 고려하여 ‘미적 감각·사고·행위’를 연결해야 한다. 둘째, 미적 발달을 위한 노인 무용교수학습방법은 ‘감각과 움직임을 연결하는 방법으로써 신체자각, 호흡, 리듬/속도감’, 움직임을 발전시키는 방법으로써 ‘시범/반복 연습, 도구 활용, 공연 경험’, 자신을 표현하고 소통하는 방법으로써 ‘자기 연출, 내러티브, 의례공동체’로 구분된다. 미적 발달에 기반한 노인 무용교육은 무엇을 어떻게 가르쳐야 하는지에 대해서 새로운 방향성을 제안하고 노인을 위한 무용교수학습방법을 모색하기 위한 시도이다. 이러한 연구결과가 노인 무용교육 현장의 교수법을 다양화하고 노인 무용교육을 활성화시킬 수 있는 유용한 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to derive teaching and learning methods of dance education for the elderly by paying attention to 'Why do the elderly learn dance?' The research method collected and analyzed data through literature research on dance education for the elderly and interviews with experts, and explored dance teaching and learning methods for elderly learners based on aesthetic development theory. Based on the theory of aesthetic development, the research results on the elderly dance teaching and learning method from the perspective of accumulation and development of aesthetic experiences are as follows. First, the key elements of dance education for the aesthetic development of the elderly are 'body as a place of memory, movement as an accumulation of experience, and emotion embedded in gestures', and 'Aesthetic sense, thinking, and behavior' should be connected by considering the characteristics and individuality of elderly learners. Second, elderly dance teaching and learning methods for aesthetic development are divided into "body awareness, breath, rhythm/speed as a way to connect senses and movements," "demonstration/repeat practice , use tools, performance experience as a way to develop movement" and "self-directed, narrative, and ritual community as a way to express and communicate.” Dance education for the elderly based on aesthetic development is an attempt to propose a new direction on what and how to teach. It is hoped that these research results will be used as useful data to diversify teaching methods in the field of dance education for the elderly and to revitalize dance education for the elderly.
