이 연구는 ‘취약성(vulnerability)’의 의미를 고찰하고 문학교육적 수용 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. ‘취약성’은 인간 개인이나 타인의 고통을 인식하고 애도하는 과정에서 발견하는 ‘상처입을 가능성’에 대한 인식이다. 따라서 취약성의 의미는 단순히 수동적이고 약한 존재성이 아니라 선천적 취약성을 긍정하고 주도적으로 실천하려는 주체성과 공동체의 연대를 지향하는 개인의 의지에 있다. 이러한 취약성의 본질을 문학 수업에 수용하기 위하여, 선천적 취약성의 차원에서는 학습자의 문학 체험이 문학 능력 개발의 기제가 되어야 하며, 상황적 취약성의 측면에서는 학습자의 주도성을 이끌 수 있는 낭만적 태도의 강화가 필요함을 고찰하였다. 이를 문학 수업에 수용하기 위한 구체적인 방안으로는 첫째, ‘미(美)’와 ‘추(醜)’의 균형적 수용을 지향하는 문학 제재 선정과 둘째, 작품에 대한 반응과 평가를 자유롭게 구사하고 작품 창작의 자유를 만끽할 수 있는 교육 내용의 선정을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of literary ability from the perspective of 'vulnerability' and to find ways to accept literary education. Vulnerability is the perception of the ‘possibility of injury’ found in the process of recognizing and mourning the suffering of individuals or others. This includes the resistance and practice of vulnerable beings rather than passive nature, so it should be thought of as a community problem rather than an individual problem. From the perspective of vulnerability, literary competencies can be expressed when learners are provided with an opportunity to organize literary works into their micro narrative, which should be implemented in a way that increases the competencies of literary works to speak in their lives. To this end, it is necessary to pay attention to the aesthetics of ugliness, which has been passively dealt with in terms of learners’ innate vulnerability, and to deal in balance with works pursuing beauty. In addition, in terms of situational vulnerability, it was suggested that the evaluation of the work should be more freely conducted and that the romantic attitude to enjoy the freedom to create the work should be strengthened.
