김종삼 시에 나타난 병치 기법과 내면 의식의 공간화 양상 연구

이 글은 김종삼의 미학적, 인식적, 존재론적 태도의 근간을 병치에서 찾고자 한다. 이런 주제론적 접근을 위해서 우선 병치를 김종삼 시의 주제적 태도로 가정한다. 람핑에 따르면 시행발화는 시의 고유한 특징이다. 시행발화를 통해 리듬이 생산되고, 언어의 연속성과 유한성을 벗어난 의미를 생성한다. 시작과 끝을 분절하는 특유의 방식으로 휴지를 만드는 것이 시행발화의 속성이다. 휴지부는 단절과 대비를 구조적으로 드러내는데, 여기서 병치와일맥상통한다. 병치는 두 세계를 나란히 놓으며 ‘법칙’, ‘균형’, ‘구조성’을 드러내는 때문이다. 구조와 대비를 통해 시인의 세계 인식을 한결 선명하게 드러낼 수 있다. 김종삼의 시는 시적 대상을 위상학적으로 배치하는데, 문장과문장 또는 구와 절 사이에 분절 지점이 분명하다. 이때 시적 대상이 전경화되면서 의미 맥락을 만든다. 여기서 살펴볼 수 있는 것은 시인 특유의 미의식이다. 두 번째로 이렇게 병치된 시적 대상들이 만드는 상황이 어떤 정서를추동하고, 정서를 통해 구축한 하나의 국면이 탄생한다는 점이다. 김종삼은시적 공간을 중첩하면서 역설적으로 부재의식을 드러내기도 한다. 김종삼의시세계는 삶에 대한 부정적 인식과 죽음에 대한 친근감을 주제로 전개된다. 병치된 두 세계의 충돌 지점에서 동일한 범주들이 반복되기도 한다. 두 방향에서 작용하는 요소들이 마주치는 지점을 설명할 필요가 있다. 병치의 효과는 병행구문으로 드러나기도 한다. 시적 자아가 오롯하게 드러날 때, 주제는더욱 선명해진다. 김종삼의 경우 이런 양상은 죽음 의식을 공간화하는 방식으로 드러나기도 한다. 이 글에서는 회화와 음악의 미학과 텍스트 언어학의이론을 빌어 이러한 가정들을 입증하는 데 노력을 기울였다.
Abstract
This paper tries to find out foundations of aesthetic, cognitive, andontological attitudes of Kim Jong－Sam in juxtaposition. For this thematicapproach, first of all, juxtaposition is presumed as thematic attitude ofKim’s poems. According to Lamping, verserede is an intrinsic characteristicof poems. Through verserede, rhythm is produced and meaning out oflinguistic continuity and finitude is generated. It is the attribute of verseredeto make a pause by a special method to segment beginnings and ends. Thepause part structurally exposes severance and contrast. In here, it is parallelwith juxtaposition. That is because juxtaposition exposes “rules”, “balance”,and “constitutive property”. Through structure and contrast, recognition tothe world of the poet can be represented clearly. Poetic objects of Kimarranged poetic objects topologically. Between sentences and sentences andbetween phrases and clauses, segment points are obvious. At this time, asintellectual objects become forgrounding, meaning context is made. Here, athing to be examined is special aesthetic consciousness of the poet. Second,a situation which poetic objects juxtaposed like this make gives an impetus to some emotions. The point is that one condition which was constructedthrough the emotions is created. Kim overlaps poetic spaces. However, heexposes absence consciousness paradoxically. Poetic world of Kim Jong－Sam is displayed with the topics of negative consciousness about life andfriendliness about death. At conflict points of the two juxtaposed worlds,same categories are sometimes repeated. It is necessary to explain the pointswhere elements acting from two directions meet. Effect of juxtaposition isexposed with parallelism. When a poetic self－consciousness is exposedperfectly, the subject becomes more vivid. In case of Kim, this aspect ispresented into a way of spatializing death consciousness. In this writing, byborrowing theories of aesthetics of painting and music and text linguistics,an effort to prove these hypotheses was made.
