화법과 문법의 통합 교육 내용 구성

Abstract

This study aimed to explore basic requirements for integrated education of speech communication and grammar. It also aimed to investigate which part of the two educational fields could be integrated. Finally, it provided contents-structuring pattern for integrated education of speech communication and grammar. Speech communication shares less in common with grammar than it shares with writing. However, the possibility for their integrated education lies in that accurate and efficient delivering and adequate understanding in spoken communication should be based on the knowledge in grammatical factors. It is problematic to structure the integrated education for speech and grammar as teaching-learning grammatical knowledge and having the students listen to a discourse and speak. Integrated education for speech and grammar necessitates an organic interrelationship between the learning contents for speech communication and grammar. One can find the meaning of integrated education only when teaching and learning these contents affects the learner's speech ability and grammatical knowledge. Therefore, educational contents for the two areas above should be composed of identical, successive, coordinate and intersecting ways in order to teach speech and grammar in an integrated way.
