This paper studied the contents of liberal arts grammar for the public. The contents of liberal arts grammar for the public should be related to language culture. Therefore, I selected the following content areas of liberal arts grammar for the public, such as character(knowledge of Hunminjeongeum and Hangul), linguistic norm(Korean spelling, standard language regulations, foreign language notation, Romanization of Hangul), vocabulary and idioms(etymology, word types, four-character idioms, classical idioms, buzzword, new words), discourse(address and reference terms, honorific expressions, discrimination and hate expressions), and enjoyment(wordplay) and discussed specific content about them. There has been little interest in grammar education for the public, and there has been little academic discussion about it, but I hope that grammar education for the public will be actively promoted in the future.
