In this paper, I aimed to discuss what the problems are in making discourse characteristics(textuality) part of grammar education content and how they should be improved. To this end, the current state of discourse education content within grammar education was examined. First, the content elements presented in the content structure and achievement standards of the grammar area of the national common curriculum for the Korean language subject were analyzed. Next, the education content elements related to discourse in the curriculum and textbooks of the elective subject 'Speech and Language' were analyzed. Through this research process, the current state of education content regarding discourse characteristics was analyzed to identify problems and explore solutions.
