본 연구는 시각장애학교 교사의 감성지능이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 서울을 비롯한 광역시(인천, 대전, 광주, 대구, 부산)에 소재한 6개의 시각장애학교, 초, 중ㆍ고등학교 전공과정의 현직교사를 대상으로 설문지를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각장애학교 교사의 감성지능이 내적 만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 자아감성 조절능력, 자아동기 부여능력, 타인감성 인식능력이 내적 만족에 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 둘째, 시각장애학교 교사의 감성지능이 외적 만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 자아감성 조절능력, 타인감성 인식능력이 외적 만족에 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 특수교육교사의 긍정적인 사고와 적극적인 감성지능을 인식하는 교사일수록 직무만족도가 높고, 직무역할수행 또한 높은 점에서 이들 특수학교교사의 감성과 경력에 따른 평정체계를 달리 수립하여 개별 장점을 고려한 직무부여와 선별적 수행이 요구됨을 시사해 주었다. 따라서 이는 이들 감성지능이 높고, 직무만족이 높은 교사일수록 자아감성 조절능력의 증대와 역할증대를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to figure out the effects of teacher’s emotional intelligence on job satisfaction in school for the visually impaired. To achieve this, a survey was carried out on 132 teachers of 6 schools for the visually impaired in metropolitan cities(Incheon, Daejeon, Kwangju, Daegu, Busan), including Seoul. The results obtained through questionnaires are as follows. Firstly, the effect of teacher’s emotional intelligence on internal satisfaction in school for the visually impaired showed that the regulation of self-emotion, self-motivation, and the perception of others’ emotion had a statistically significant positive effect on the internal satisfaction(p<.05). Secondly, the effect of teacher’s emotional intelligence on external satisfaction in school for the visually impaired showed that the regulation of self-emotion and the perception of others’ emotion had a statistically significant positive effect on the external satisfaction(p<.05). As for findings stated above, the evaluation system for special education teachers should be established in any other way by their emotion and career to selectively perform their job with regard to their individual advantage. Because they - who have a positive thought and have an active perception of emotional intelligence - have been very satisfied with their job, and have well performed their job. Consequently, it is judged that special education teachers of high emotional intelligence and high job satisfaction look forward to increasing the regulation of self-emotion and its role.
