Abstract
This study was performed to check the possibility of developing an educational authoring package which will help teachers to easily produce L2 vocabulary learning materials. For this purpose an authoring package, "Wordbank," was designed in relation to an English conversation class in P University. The authoring package, "Wordbank," provides teachers with convenient ways to produce vocabulary learning materials and also provides students with a chance to practice and evaluate the vocabularies dealt with in classrooms. "Wordbank" has a database with three kinds of vocabulary learning exercises. With this package, teachers can input new vocabulary items, search for vocabulary items related to the text, and give tests with exercise sets. Students can search and practice vocabularies in the text not only to prepare for class but also for class review. Considering that CD-titles have difficulty providing materials, related to class lessons and editing contents, "Wordbank" is expected to effectively provide more chances for vocabulary learning to students.
