초록
The present study investigated the effects of student-centered Key-pal writing and peer revision activities of the Internet Cyworld club for writing ability. 182 students from three universities participated in these writing activities. The data was analyzed based on the pre- and post-TWE (Test of Written English) essay writing tests of 35 students and 66 students' responses to a questionnaire. The results of the t-test were significant (p=.00) in all of the following four measures: TWE essay writing test, total number of words, word types, and sentences. The results of the questionnaire showed that the students wrote, read, and revised their own and other students' English writing at the Cyworld writing club, and that they perceived them as useful writing activities. These results suggest that the use of the Cyworld club for student-centered writing activities could be beneficial for students as a place to practice English writing as well as for peer revision.
