Due to Covid 19, the way of operating extracurricular programs have been changed from off-line to online. On this circumstance, this study investigated the effectiveness of the online-based international exchange extracurricular program with FGI(focus group interview) of participants. The results are as follows. It was a big advantage of being able to communicate with their partner without any limitation of time and space. Therefore, the online-based international exchange extracurricular program enhanced cultural communicative skills and improve global competence of participants. Also, henceforth, it can be expected that the expansion of global exchange program, curricular and co-curricular activities, and the establishment of learners' database. This study is significant to provide the insight about online-based international exchange extracurricular program. further studies should be undertaken for the greater depth of understanding about it.
