외국인 근로자용 한국어 교재 개발의 방향과 실제 -NCS 직무 분석을 기반으로

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the job duties of foreign workers based on the National Competency Standards (NCS) and to explore ways to effectively develop Korean language textbooks for foreign workers based on this analysis. By examining a specific unit from the NEW Standard Korean Textbook, the paper explores the distinctive features of Korean language textbooks and thus underscores the need for developing the NEW Standard Korean Textbook designed for foreign workers according to the following key three principles. Firstly, the NEW Standard Korean Textbook for foreign workers should be designed based on an analysis of foreign workers' job duties and aim to improve their basic vocational competencies and job performance skills. To this end, the textbook content should be constructed by reviewing the basic competencies and detailed job classifications in the NCS, along with relevant learning modules. Secondly, it should be developed in accordance with the test specifications of the Employment Permit System Test of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK), as the NEW Standard Korean Textbook shall serve as a reference book for the EPS-TOPIK. Thirdly, the textbook should be designed to enhance the Korean language daily communication skills of foreign workers, enabling them to effectively live and work in Korea.
