초록

This study is a descriptive research study that aimed to determine the degree of learning immersion, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability of nursing students who experienced virtual simulation practice, and to identify factors affecting problem-solving ability. A convenience sample of 201 students attending a university's nursing department in rural and fishing village was selected, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The results of the study showed that the higher the learning immersion and critical thinking of nursing college students who experienced virtual simulation practice, the higher the problem-solving ability. The factors affecting problem-solving ability were in the following order: objectivity in critical thinking, clear goal of learning immersion, sense of control in learning immersion, and balance of challenge skills in learning immersion, and the explanatory power of these variables on problem-solving ability was found to be 45%. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply various programs using virtual simulation to improve nursing college students' problem-solving abilities.
