초록
이 글은 바람직한 언어 기능간의 통합 지도를 위한 기초 연구로, 언어 기능간의 통합 지도를 불러일으킨 배경과 바람직한 통합의 층위에 대해 살펴본 것이다. 언어 기능간의 통합 지도는 결국 언어 행위를 보는 관점의 변화에 따른 것이다. 즉, 읽기나 쓰기 등의 언어 행위를 보는 관점을 달리하면서 이들 간의 관련성이나 공통성에 무게 중심을 두게 되면서 자연스럽게 통합 지도의 문제가 제기될 수 있었다. 이 글에서는 언어 행위를 본 관점의 변화로, 크게 의미 구성 행위로서 읽기와 쓰기를 보게 된 점, 상호작용적 관점에서 읽기와 쓰기를 보게 된 점, 사용 행위로서 읽기와 쓰기를 보게 된 점을 들고, 이들 관점이 대두된 배경과 이들 관점이 어떻게 언어 기능(읽기와 쓰기)간의 통합 지도 문제를 불러일으켰는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 그리고 바람직한 통합의 층위를 설정하기 위해 크게 네 층위의 통합의 범위를 설정했다. 탈교과적 통합, 교과간 통합, 기능간 통합, 기능내 통합이 그것이다. 탈교과적 통합은 여러 가지 점에서 일반화하는 것은 거의 불가능하다. 교과간 통합은 가능하고 필요하나 신중하게 접근할 필요가 있다. 그리고 기능 통합과 기능내 통합은 가능하고 필요하다. 이 글에서는 기능간과 기능내 층위에서의 통합이 바람직하다고 보았다. 그런데 기능간 통합에서 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기와 국어 지식, 문학 영역간의 통합은 가능하고 필요하나 교과간 통합에서 생길 수 있는 문제를 노출시킬 수 있기 때문에 신중하게 접근할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This article focussed the layers backgrounds of integral instruction of language arts as basis of integral instruction of language arts. The integral instruction of language arts based on the change of view about reading and writing behaviors. The change of view as following in this article. First, reading and writing are meaning making process. Second, reading and writing are interactive behaviors. Third, reading and writing are in-use behaviors. The view of reading and writing(listening, speaking) promoted integral instruction of language arts. And The layers of integral of language arts are discussed in this article. First of all, Researcher investigated the integration of not subjects, the integration of interdisciplinary subjects, integration in subjects, integration in an skill. We focused integration in subjects in this article.
