이 연구는 초기 글쓰기의 특징을 몇 가지 사례를 통해 살펴보고, 초기 쓰기 지도의 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구에서는 초기를 만3세 이후 초등학교 2학년 시기로 규정하였다. 이 시기는 표준적 글쓰기(맞춤법에 맞게 쓰기)가 완성되기 이전 단계로 창안적 글쓰기 단계와 표준적 글쓰기로의 진입 단계이다. 초기 쓰기의 특징은 문헌과 실제 사례를 통해 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 초기 쓰기의 특징으로부터 초기 단계 쓰기에 적합한 지도 방향을 살펴보고자 한다. 초기 글쓰기에서는 띄어쓰기, 맞춤법, 구두점과 같은 형식적인 것보다 의미를 표현하는 것을 중심에 두어야 한다. 그리고 실제 이 단계에 있는 아이들은 의미를 표현하기 위한 의사소통의 도구로 글쓰기를 수행하는 모습을 보였다. 따라서 초기 글쓰기에서는 받아쓰기나 맞춤법과 같은 기계적인 요소보다 읽기와 말하기와 통합한 쓰기, 의미 표상으로서의 쓰기가 이루어져야 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to research the characteristics of beginning writing and the teaching direction of beginning writing. This study prescribe that the begining writing period is range from 3 years old to second grade in elementary school. This period is to enter stage of invented writing and conventional writing before to complete conventional writing. Characteristics of beginning writing are investigated from researches and examples. From these characteristics, The study introduce teaching direction of beginning writing. When children are the beginning writing, The representation of meaning are more important than the mechanics such as punctuation marks, rules of spelling and spacing words. Then actually, the period indicate the writing for communication that represent the meaning. Therefore, the beginning writing period, the teaching is focused on integrated of reading, talking and writing for representation of meaning than mechanics.
