학교 현장에서 국어과교육의 성패를 좌우하는 것은 교재와 교수학습 방법이다. 교사들이 학생들과 직접 대면하는 과정에서 매개체가 되는 것이 바로 교재이고, 이 교재는 국어과교육의 목표와 내용을 담고 있기 때문이다. 교재는 객관적 실체로 존재하는 것이 아니라 교사에 의해 적극적으로 수정되어 교수학습 과정에서 역동적으로 작용해야 한다. 국어과교육도 교육의 범주 내에서 교과적 특성을 갖는 것이며, 국어과교육도 ‘아는 것’과 ‘하는 것’을 균형 있게 다루는 것이라면, 교재 구성의 문제는 비교적 쉽게 해결할 수 있다. 일단 교재에는 학생들이 알아야 할 것이 포함되어야 하며, 그것을 토대로 하여 학생들이 해볼 수 있는 활동이 포함되어야 한다. 즉 두 가지 축을 중심으로 하여 다양한 요소들이 배열되어야 한다. 또한 교육의 기본 구조에서 ‘아는 것’과 ‘하는 것’이 가장 핵심이 되는 것이라면, 교수학습 모형도 이 두 가지 요소를 중심으로 이루어지는 것이 당연하다. 교수학습 모형이 교육과 무관한 것이 아니라 교육의 목적이나 목표를 효과적으로 달성하기 위한 방법으로 고안된 것이기 때문이다. 결국 교재의 ‘아는 것’과 ‘하는 것’은 교수학습 모형의 ‘아는 것’과 ‘하는 것’에 각각 대응하도록 할 수 있으므로, 이러한 교재를 교사와 학생의 교수학습 과정에 투입할 때 효과적인 교육이 가능해진다.
Abstract
Teaching Models and Materials for Effective Education Choi, Yeong-Hwan The purpose of this research is to clarify the relations of materials and teaching models. It is necessary to combine the materials and teaching models for effective teaching in korean language education. There are two kinds of the axis in the key point of the education. One is to know, the other is to do. The Principle learning in materials is to know, and the application learning is to do. The materials must reflect two axis of the education. Two kind elements are weaved in the materials. The teaching models can be simplified to know and to do. To know in teaching models is related to know in materials and to do in teaching models is related to do in materials. Various forms of teaching come into being according to the method of mixing two elements. We are equal to the work to make the buildings the work to make the materials. We need the plan as a building design when we make the materials. We must distinguish important parts of materials and concentrate on that parts. So, we must consider consequently such at that elements when we make materials and teach the korean lessons.
