이 연구는 국어적 창의성의 개념과 창의성 계발 교육의 원리를 탐구하고, 이에 기반하여 교재를 구성하는 방안을 수립하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구자는 국어적 창의성을 ‘인지적이면서 동시에 현실적인 문제를 새롭고도 적절한 방식으로 해결하는 능력’으로 정의한 후, 이를 계발하는 원리를 구안하기 위해서 창의성이 발현되는 요소를 영역 특수적 지식과 기능, 일반 세상사 지식과 사고 기능, 태도를 포함하는 개인적 요소와 개인의 능력이 발현되게 하는 분야의 기반과 영역의 비평과 평가를 포함하는 사회적 요소로 나누고, 국어과 교육에서 이들 각 요소의 특성과 관계를 논의하였다. 국어적 창의성을 계발하기 위한 교재의 조건을 교과서와 교사용 지도서로 나누어 제시하였는데, 미국과 영국의 교과서와 교사용 지도서를 비교·분석하여 참고하였다. 교과서 구성 방안으로는 영역 일반적 지식을 충분히 제공하는 주제 중심의 단원 구성 방식을 고려할 것, 국어적 지식을 적재적소에 제공할 것, 국어적 문제를 해결하는 경험을 충분히 제공할 것을 들었다. 교사용 지도서 구성 방안으로는 교사에게 필요한 지식을 제공하고 명시적인 수업 전략을 제공할 것과 교사가 학생 활동의 평가와 비평에 필요한 정보와 자료를 제공할 것 등을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims at establishing the plans for constructing teaching materials based on the explorations into the concept of Korean creativity and the principles of the education for developing the creativity. First, the researcher categorized the existing researches on linguistic creativity into five and investigated them, defining Korean creativity as 'the ability to solve cognitive and simultaneously real problems in new and proper methods'. To have an insight into the principles of developing Korean creativity, I have divided the elements where the creativity is revealed into personal ones including area-specific knowledge and function, knowledge on general worldly affairs and thinking function, and attitudes, and into social ones including criticism and evaluation on grounds and areas of the fields which have personal abilities revealed, discussing their characteristics and relations in the education by the department of the Korean language. I have divided the teaching materials for developing Korean creativity into textbooks and a teacher's guidebook, and compared and analyzed textbooks and a teacher's guidebook used in USA and England. As for the plans for constructing textbooks, I was told to consider the method of constructing an unit centered on subjects, to provide knowledge on the Korean language appropriately, and to fully provide experiences on solving Korean problems. As for the plans for constructing a teacher's guidebook, I suggested that one should provide a teacher with required knowledge and also explicit class strategies and that a teacher should provide the information and materials necessary to the evaluation and criticism on students' activities.
