Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develope a symptom education program for ADHD clinical group adolescents and to verify its effectiveness. The study was conducted in 33 adolescents (12-15 years old, 27 males, 6 females) who are using mental rehabilitation facilities for adolescents in Seoul. Participants were evaluated for ADHD perception and attitude before and after the program, and the effect size was verified using t-test and Cohen's d as a single group pre-post design. As a result of analysis, the adolescents who participated in this program showed a statistically significant increase in perception and positive attitude toward ADHD after the program compared to before the program. Based on this, it can be seen that the symptom education program for the ADHD clinical group has obtained positive results, and it is necessary to revalidation the effectiveness and importance of the symptom education program by increasing the sample population.
