대학생의 성격과 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 소명의 조절효과: 외향성, 친밀성, 성실성을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 진로태도성숙수준을 높이는데 도움을 주고자 이에 영향을 미치는 대학생의 성격, 특히 외향성, 친밀성, 성실성과 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 소명의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국의 4년제 대학생들 중 3학기 이상에 재학 중인 남녀대학생 236명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 외향성과 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 소명의 조절효과는 검증되지 않았다. 둘째, 친밀성과 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 소명의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 소명이 높을 때 친밀성과 진로태도성숙의 정적상관관계가 더 강화되었다. 셋째, 성실성과 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 소명의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 즉, 소명이 높을 때 성실성에 따른 진로태도성숙의 변화가 더 크게 나타났다. 위의 결과에 따라 친밀성, 성실성과 진로태도성숙의 관계는 소명의 정도에 따라 변화하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었으며 이를 바탕으로 실제 대학생의 진로 상담에서 본 연구가 가지는 의미를 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 한계점과 후속연구의 필요성을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study examined the moderating effect of calling in the relationship between personality, especially extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and career attitude maturity. 236 university students, who attended universities more than two semesters, participated in this study. The results of this study are as follows; First, the moderating effect of calling in the relationship between extroversion and career attitude maturity was not confirmed. Second, the moderating effect of calling in the relationship between agreeableness and career attitude maturity was shown as the relationship between agreeableness and career attitude maturity was stronger if the degree of calling was higher. Third, the moderating effect of calling in the relationship between conscientiousness and career attitude maturity was confirmed such that the relationship was stronger for those who have high perception of calling. Based on the results, it was identified that the relationship between agreeableness and, conscientiousness and career attitude maturity were changed according to the degree of calling. The contributions of this study in the field of career counseling for university students were presented and the limitations and suggestions for further studies are discussed.
