상호문화적 정체성과 용수의 비어있는 정체성

오늘날과 같은 세계화시대에는 형식적으로 민주적인 사회라도 특히 문화적인 정체성을 중심으로 해서 차별과 억압이 존재한다. 다수자는 소수자를 동화시키거나 배제하려고 한다. 다문화주의, 상호문화주의, 초문화주의가 이를 시정하려고 한다. 이 중에서 우리는 상호문화주의를 선호한다. 왜냐하면 다문화주의는소수자를 게토화시키기 쉽고 소수자가 전체와 화해되지 않을 수 있기 때문이고, 초문화주의는 경계를 철폐하려고 하나 아직도 차별을 위한 경계는 남아 있기 때문이다. 그런데 상호문화주의는 대화와 소통을 위해서 ‘유비적 해석학 ’을 선호한다. 그러나 ‘유비적 해석학 ’은 ‘동일성 모델의 해석학 ’을 극복하는 좋은 방법이기는 하지만, 타자의 해소할 수 없는 차이 앞에서는 무력하다. 그래서 우리는 여기서 용수의‘공성 ’을 대안으로 제시한다. 왜냐하면 ‘유비적 모델 ’이 '동일성 모델 ’보다는 덜 하지만 여전히 실체론적이기 때문이다. ‘공성 ’은 ‘동일성 모델 ’이나 ‘유비적 모델 ’의 자기주장을 해체한다.
Abstract
Today in the age of globalization there are even in a formally democratic society discrimination and oppression --- especially with reference to the cultural identity. The majority tries to assimilate or exclude the minority. Multiculturalism, interculturalism and transculturalism set themselves to rectify this error. Between these three we prefer interculturalism, because multiculturalism is easy to ghettoize the few and to obstruct its reconciliation with the many, and because in spite of all the effort of transculturalism to remove cultural boundaries the boundaries for discrimination remains. Whereas, interculturalism prefers ‘the analogical hermeneutics’ for dialog and communication. Nevertheless though it is a good methode to overcome ‘the identity-model of hermeneutics’, it is powerless before the unreducible difference of the other. Therefore we support the deconstructivistly understood emptiness of Nagarjuna. Because the analogical hermeneutics is less substantialistic than the identity-model, but is still substantialistic. The emptiness deconstruct the self-assertion of the identity-model or even of the analogical hermeneutics.
