류파별 살풀이춤을 통해 본 한국춤의 美

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the diverse forms of various schools of Salpuri-chum and learn the history and the origin of this Korean traditional dance,which extraordinarily delivers the sentiments and the aesthetic sensitivity of Koreans. In addition, it is to examine the beauty of form of Hongae Sugeon-chum(Baekdan Sugeon-chum)among the major schools of Korean traditional dance, with which the public is yet unfamiliar. By examining the characteristics of Hongae Sugeon-chum among the group dance called Anseong Hyangdangmu which is designated by Gyeonggi-do as No.34,Intangible Cultural Asset in August 21st, year 2000, I intended to introduce the importance of our Salpuri-chum and extend the level of understanding and the public interests in Hongae Sugeon-chum so that I could contribute to the academic advancement of Korean dance. I hope that the research on Korean dance will advance one step forward on the basis of this study which identifies the origin, formation, and transmission of Salpuri-chum. The public is not familiar with Hongae Sugeon-chum of Anseong Hyangdangmu and I hope this study will promote the continuous research to subdivide and deepen the knowledge on the subject as well as attract the public attention to the regional dance of tradition.
