Abstract

This article is discussed that korean modern poetry is influenced by the western-poetry in method with translation. But modern poet’s poetic success is not correspondence with translation’s work is wide up at that necessity moment. Furthermore we can’t find a coincidence by the influenced western poetry in case most concentrated poet exactly. Poet’s field by translated is initiative of Kim Eok and Yang JooDong in the 1920’s and is newly showed by Lee YangHa and Park YongChul in the 1930’s. Lee and Park is published as like “The Oversea of Literature” and “Poetry Literature” so on. Lee was translated amount of western-poetry and edited anthology name for “Lost Perfume of Garden”. Chung GeeYong is well-known poet in modern poetry’s horizon. He’s activity is focused for the “Poetry Literature” which are known as like poetic language’s metaphorical innovation. Chung’s language attitude is expressiveness from the romanticism. However he’s literature is oriented to the modernism as like wrote literature history. This difference is evoked that the various evaluation for he’s poetry. And than we would search for difference point that called crossroad’s meaning. Chung is translated William Blake and Walter Whitman’s poetry. He’s translation is a little amount but it’s meaning is not deep aside. We traced he’s poetry, and than can fined that is influenced by William Blake’s world. But Chung’s poetry is directed coincidence with Blake. Chung’s thinking about Blake is delicious to the poet’s ontological and sociological’s pain. This pain is guided to the spiritualism in the 1930’s post era. Chung is fined “Mysticism” and “Eternality” in Blake’s poetry. Instead with concept natural “Spirit”, he go to the inside individual world. This Choice was broken by social change, be called “Freedom” in 1945’s historical moment.
