Abstract

In this In thesis, a plan for continuously transmitting and preserving Jeju tales was proposed based on the current collected and organized data and the current status of the online archiving system provided to preserve and utilize them. Currently, most of the collected and organized Jeju tales are only at the stage of collecting and organizing the original data of the first generation researchers represented by Hyun Yong-joon and Jin Sung-ki by subject and region. In addition, most of the objects mainly used were transmission data according to local surveys conducted in the 1950s and 1960s, and collection and arrangement of ancient documents, old maps, or literature stories handed down to private collections of Joseon Dynasty masters were not carried out. Accordingly, it was suggested that it is necessary to collect and organize equipment and records in terms of complementarity, and to supplement and expand the archive system that can comprehensively judge the psychological value. In addition, in terms of preservation and utilization, the issue of the accessibility and system of DB data, which provides data obtained in parallel with the existing narrative data in the 2000s, was raised online. While the interest of art, creators, and the public in Jeju folk tales is increasing day by day, few people know that there is an online space that summarizes Jeju folktale materials. Each piece of narrative data provided online has its own system to search according to the classification of form, division, key word, and narrative name, but the selection criteria are ambiguous and the mapping between each classification item is not properly established. Therefore, it is required to continuously revise and supplement this in the future. On the other hand, he also pointed out that the perception of the transmission community and data reflecting it, such as collecting and organizing stories reproduced in modern times, research on survivors of existing raw materials, training follow-up researchers, and more efficient institutional, financial, and academic support for those who want to enjoy and utilize Jeju tales should be supported. Jeju folk tales are now demanding that they give themselves a more open and flexible perspective, which will continue to be transformed and reproduced, along with the strictness of collection, organization, preservation and utilization.
