Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of physical activity participation on emotional regulation and psychological resilience. To achieve this goal, a survey was distributed to 380 Chinese university students, collecting data on physical activity(exercise intensity, exercise time, exercise frequency), emotions(positive emotions, negative emotions), and psychological resilience(optimism, strength, toughness). Among the collected surveys, excluding 46, a total of 334 surveys were used for the research findings using the SPSS 29.0 statistical program for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Firstly, the correlation between Chinese university students' physical activity participation and emotional and psychological resilience variables was found to be statistically significant. Secondly, Chinese university students' physical activity participation significantly affects emotional and psychological resilience, including positive predictions for positive emotions, negative predictions for negative emotions, and positive predictions for psychological resilience. According to the comprehensive study, there is a significant impact of current Chinese university students' physical activity participation on emotional regulation and psychological resilience. This provides the basis for relevant policy formulation and the need for various studies to promote the healthy development of university students' body and mind through the analysis of the impact and effects of physical activity on emotional regulation and psychological resilience.
