경찰관들의 조직 내 범죄정보에 대한 인식이 범죄분석지원센터 필요성에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The purpose of this study focuses on the relationship between recognition of crime information in the organization and need to establish crime analysis support center. In this study, the perception of crime information for police officer has been selected as an independent variable while the need to establish crime analysis support center has been appointed as a dependent variable. As the independent variable, the perception of crime information for police officer has been divided into three sub-factors such as “information support”, “information utilization”, and “delivery·sharing·feedback of information”. In addition, sex, age, rank and service period have been selected as control variables. The principal component method is used to see which items cluster together in each factor and to calculate factor scores. Multiple regression analysis identifies several factors significantly affect on the need to establish crime analysis support center. Key findings can be summarized as follow: First, the factor of “information support” have significant effects on need to establish crime analysis support center. Second, the factor of “information utilization” have significant effects on need to establish crime analysis support center. Third the factor of delivery·sharing·feedback of information have significant effects on need to establish crime analysis support center. However, when all the variables having significant effects are included in the final model, “information support” and “information utilization” disappear, while delivery·sharing·feedback of information” remains statistically significant. Therefore, I concluded that the most significant factor affecting on establishing crime analysis support center is “delivery·sharing·feedback of information”.
