Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of problem-based learning (PBL) and team-based learning (TBL) on improving student satisfaction, competency attitude, and participation. Until now, studies using PBL and TBL have hardly been found except for a very small number of studies targeting medical schools. We emphasize that this is the first study applied to the field of management. We combined quantitative and qualitative methods. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the learning effect in the field of business administration. The quantitative method was a case study of 50 students who mixed 7 departments of A-University. The qualitative method was a survey analysis of 47 students. The curriculum consisted of a mixture of PBL and TBL. The self-reflection results of PBL and TBL were dominated by very positive expressions on learning satisfaction. Quantitative analysis also showed relatively high levels. In particular, the results of this immersion are expected to be of great help not only in PBL and TBL but also in general lectures. Implications suggest that in order to effectively apply PBL and TBL, each must be selected according to the characteristics of learning content, learning period, learning space, and instructor's practical ability.
