Abstract

The purpose of this study is to summarize the main achievements of the taekwondo term dictionary compiled by Kukkiwon, and to explore the follow-up tasks for the standardization of taekwondo terms. As a result, the results of compilation of the taekwondo term dictionary were summarized into three. First, the basic principles of Taekwondo term dictionary are set. The basic principles are divided into (added), added (added), refined (modified), and supplemented (complementary). Taekwondo terms were revised according to these criteria. Second is the establishment of a formal system of taekwondo terminology. In addition to existing headings, short and detailed meanings, photos, QR codes, and notes have been added to enhance readability. Third, the organization of contents of the taekwondo term dictionary is overhauled. Taekwondo's goal marking standards and methods have been clarified, and all plural standard words have been revised as single standard words, and they have been revised to raise and lower respectively, so that the face and down blocks correspond to each other. As a result, it has been transformed into a terminology dictionary with attractions using pictures and videos from the existing text-based dictionary. In addition, three proposals for the standardization of Taekwondo terms were proposed. First, it is proposed to expand the heading of the taekwondo term dictionary to increase the scope and level of taekwondo terminology, and to translate it into multiple languages ​​for distribution to the world. Second, it was proposed to strengthen the education to increase the chances of learning correct and accurate taekwondo terms with the publication of a taekwondo glossary that the leaders can refer to when teaching taekwondo in the field of taekwondo education. Third, it was proposed to compile the digital taekwondo encyclopedia along with online and offline digital taekwondo textbooks for anyone who can practice or teach taekwondo regardless of country or region.
