목적 본 연구의 목적은 태권도 선수가 지각한 지도자의 서번트 리더십이 운동 몰입에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식을 통해 분석하고, 그 관계에서 지도자 신뢰, 임파워먼트, 선수 만족이라는 세 가지 심리적 변인이 다중직렬매개변인으로서 작용하는지를 실증적으로 규명하고자 한다. 이는 선수 중심의 건강한 지도 문화 정착을 위한 리더십 모델 정립뿐 아니라, 실제 지도자 교육 및 선수 심리지원 체계 설계에 실질적인 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 방법 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형(SEM)을 실시하였으며, AMOS 씬택스 프로그램을 이용해 서번트리더십과 운동몰입에 관계에서 지도자신뢰, 임파워먼트, 선수만족의 매개효과 및 다중직렬매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 서번트리더십은 선수만족, 지도자신뢰, 임파워먼트, 선수만족, 운동몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 서번트리더십과 운동몰입의 관계에 있어 지도자신뢰, 임파워먼트, 선수만족간의 매개효과 및 다중직렬매개효과는 정(+)의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이에 지도자는 서번트리더십을 이용하여 선수에 대해 명확하게 파악하고 있어야 한다. 예전과 같이 강압적인 리더십은 현 시대와 걸 맞지 않는 리더십이며 지도자의 신뢰를 떨어트리며 선수 또한 운동을 포기할 수 있는 강박관념이 생길 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서 제시한 실증적인 시사점을 기초자료로서 지도자에게 이바지할 수 있는 자료로 거듭나 오도된 지도는 없어지고 현 시대에 맞는 지도력이 나타났으면 한다.
Abstract
Purpose This study investigates the impact of Taekwondo athletes’ perceptions of coaches’ servant leadership on sport commitment, with coach trust, empowerment, and athlete satisfaction as serial mediators. Using structural equation modeling, the study provides empirical evidence and practical insights for fostering athlete-centered coaching and strengthening psychological support systems. Method Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 with frequency, factor, reliability, and correlation analyses, as well as SEM. AMOS syntax verified the mediating and serial mediating effects of coach trust, empowerment, and athlete satisfaction. Results First, servant leadership was found to have a positive (+) effect on athlete satisfaction, coach trust, empowerment, and sport commitment. Second, in the relationship between servant leadership and sport commitment, coach trust, empowerment, and athlete satisfaction showed positive mediating effects as well as multiple serial mediating effects. Conclusion Coaches should adopt servant leadership, as coercive styles undermine trust and may cause dropout. This study provides empirical insights to foster athlete-centered leadership suited to the present era.
