연구목적: 본 연구는 유아의 정서능력과 유아의 인지능력, 언어능력, 자아존중감 간의 관계와 영향력을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: K시에 위치한 사립유치원 4곳에 재원중인 만 3, 4, 5세 평균월령 62.89 (SD = 9.15)인 유아 총 200명을 대상으로 정서능력 검사, K-ABC-Ⅱ, REVT, 유아 자아존중감 검사를 사용하여 연구 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램으로 단순상관 및 단계적중다회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 유아의 정서능력과 유아의 인지능력, 언어능력, 자아존중감 간에는 유의미한 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 유아의 자아존중감은 유아의 정서능력을 예측하는 가장 강력한 예측변인으로 나타났으며, 부가적으로 유아의 인지능력이 유아의 정서능력을 예측하는 변인으로 밝혀졌다. 결론: 본 연구는 유아의 사회적 관계에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 여겨지는 정서능력을 중심으로 유아의 행동 특성을 이해할 수 있는 기초 정보를 제공하며, 가정 및 교육현장에서 유아의 안정적인 정서발달을 효과적으로 도모하기 위해 유아 개인의 내적인 특성과의 관련성을 고려해야한다는 함의를 제공한 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
Abstract
Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence between children's emotional, cognitive, and language abilitie s, as well as their self-esteem 200 children aged 3, 4 and 5, who were hospitalized in four different private kindergartens located in K city, with an average age of 62.89 (SD=9.15) months. Methods: The data were collected through the Infant Emotional Ability Test, K-ABC-Ⅱ, REVT and Infant Self-Esteem Test. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program by simple correlation and a stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results: First, the results showed a significant positive correlation between the child's emotional, cognitive and language abilities as well as self-esteem. Second, the infant's self-esteem was the most powerful predictor of emotional ability. Additionally, the infant's cognitive ability was found to be a variable predicting emotional ability. Conclusions: This study provides a foundational understanding of the behavioral characteristics of infants, focusing on emotional abilities which are considered the social relationships of infants. the relevance of an individual's internal characteristics.
