본 연구는 2015년 국내에 도입된 제도인 ‘열린어린이집’ 관련 연구의 동향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 2015년부터 2024년 7월까지 발표된 KCI 학술지 논문 및 대학원 학위논문 중 총 42편의 열린어린이집 연구를 분석대상으로 일반적 동향 분석을 실시하고 그 중 총 39편의 국문초록에서 추출하고 정제한 키워드 데이터를 토대로 키워드 빈도 및 네트워크 분석을 통한 동향 분석을 실시하였으며, 이 과정에서 Exce19l, TEXTOM24, Ucinet6 프로그램을 활용하였다. 첫째, 열린어린이집 연구는 2016년부터 2022년까지 총 42편이 발표되었으며 그 중 교사, 원장, 부모와 같이 단독 대상을 가진 경우는 26편이고, 양적연구는 37편이었다. 둘째, 주요 키워드 출현 빈도에서 교사, 부모, 인식, 부모참여, 어린이집 등의 순으로 출현 빈도가 높았고, 동시출현빈도가 가장 높았던 연속 세 개 단어 세트는 ‘교사-부모-인식’이었고, ‘보육-교사-인식’, ‘원장-교사-부모’, ‘인식-요구-차이’ 순으로 그 빈도가 높았다. 셋째, 출현 빈도 상위 키워드 50개를 중심으로 살펴본 키워드 네트워크 중심성 분석에서는 연결중심성이 열린어린이집, 교사, 부모, 인식, 부모참여 등의 순으로, 매개중심성은 개선, 관계, 유형, 의미, 일상, 자발성 순으로 높았다. 본 연구에서는 열린어린이집 연구가 유보통합이 본격적으로 재논의되기 시작한 시기 이전인 2022년까지 활발히 이루어졌음을 확인하고, 그 연구들이 주로 운영 실태, 관련자들의 인식과 경험, 요구 등을 파악하는 데 중점을 두었음에 대해 논의하였다. 더불어, 신뢰할 수 있고 질 높은 영유아보육·교육 제공을 위해 학계와 현장에서 이러한 제도의 효과와 그 개선 방안에 지속 관심을 기울여야 함에 대해 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study examined research trends related to “Open childcare center,” a system introduced in Korea in 2015. A total of 42 studies on Open childcare center, published in KCI journals and graduate school dissertations from 2015 to July 2024, were analyzed through a general trend analysis. Keyword frequency and network analyses were conducted using keyword data extracted and refined from the Korean abstracts of 39 studies, utilizing Excel2019, TEXTOM24, and Ucinet6. First, 42 studies on Open childcare center were published between 2016 and 2022. Among them, 26 focused on a single group, such as teachers, directors, or parents, and 37 were quantitative studies. Second, regarding keyword frequency, the most frequently appearing terms were “teacher”, “parents”, “awareness”, “parent involvement”, and “childcare center”. The three most common co-occurring keyword sets were “teacher-parent-awareness”, “childcare-teacher-awareness”, “director-teacher-parent”, and “awareness-demand-difference”. Third, keyword network analysis of the top 50 keywords showed that the most central terms (degree centrality) were “Open childcare center”, “teacher”, “parent”, “awareness”, and “parent involvement”. In terms of betweenness centrality, the most influential keywords were “improvement”, “relationship”, “type”, “meaning”, “daily life”, and “spontaneity”. This study discussed that ’Open childcare center’ research mainly focused on understanding the operational status, and the awareness and experiences of those involved, In addition, it was suggested that the academic and field-based attention to the effectiveness of this system and ways to improve it in order to provide reliable and high-quality ECEC.
