The purpose of Juvenile Act is to ensure sound fostering of Juveniles by carrying out necessary measures, such as protective dispositions, etc. for the environmental adjustment and character correction of Juveniles demonstrating anti-social behavior, and providing special measures regarding criminal dispositions. Since the establishment of the Juvenile Act in 1958, it amended by Act No. 1376, Jul, 31, 1963, Act No. 3047, Dec, 31,1977, Act No. 4057, Dec, 31, 1988, Act No. 4929, Jan, 5, 1995, Act No. 8439, May, 17, 2007, and Act No. 8722, Dec, 21, 2007. This Act Newly amended by Act No. 11005, Aug, 4, 2011. Also, the draft of Juvenile Act,which was submitted to the 18th National Assembly, has been at a standstill at the committee. According to a recent draft of Juvenile Act to the 18th National Assembly, The nation shall take necessary measures for matters under research, study, education, publicity and formulation and execution of the relevant policies to help juvenile delinquent to grow up soundly, establishment and operation of a collaborative system with central administrative agencies, public institutions and social organizations related to proper guidance and education for juvenile delinquents to help juvenile delinquents to grow up soundly. Consequently, in this article are examined the draft of Juvenile Act and suggested several ways.
Abstract
