An erudite compilation serves as a foundation for the humanities and expands the base of the reading public. The scholar and editor must provide the critical apparatus for the academic circles and interact actively with the popular readers too. His works will suggest the novel topics for productive discussion and meet the potential demand of general culture. So it is very important for him to organize the unknown or rare text and publish the specialized collection. Moreover it must be restored certainly to a definitive edition or a critical canon by his professional editing capabilities, that is to say the most authoritative as well as the standardized book. His job should involve proofreading, editing, interpretation, and critiquing about the original text. A compilation and a editor of it, like a translation and a translator, must get preferential treatment in the academic world including universities from now on.
