초록
This study is aim to compare heidegger’s understanding and levinas’ understanding on the relation of language and time. In doing so, we can illuminate two modes of language and speaker’s relationship. Heidegger insists that metaphysical truth is epistemological truth and presents us poetic language, which is reveal ontological truth. And levinas critics heidegger’s ontological truth could be only deducted to the totalitarian truth and presents us ethical language. Nevertheless they are sharing same theme which would like to reach to the redemption without I’s subjectivity through language. Their understanding on language have similar relationship with prophet, and since the prophet is the person who outcast from the subjectivity, they have same point of view on human as Ex-sistenz. But they also have irreconcilable characters, which is the time of redemption for inserting new time onto the reality. This study is explaining that Heidegger and levinas’ different understandings on time is corresponds to the different modes of language and speaker. And with this, I will point out that their aspirations on the redemption and transcendence of language might proceed to the easy escaping of thought for rejecting daily life’s physical reality.
