다문화가정 청소년의 교육 자본화를 위한 다문화 범주화와 다문화 수용성에 대한 질적 연구

본 연구는 다문화 가정 출신 청소년들을 대상으로 자신들이 다문화로 범주화 되는 것을 어떻게 받아들이고 있는지, 또 다문화에 대한 수용성은 어느 정도이며 이들을 인적 자원으로서 교육 자본화 할 방법이 무엇이 있는지를 알아보고자 수행되었다. 연구방법은 질적 연구로서 문화영역분석의 자유기술 기법과 심층면담, 관찰을 통한 분석적 귀납이 차용되었다. 연구결과는 다문화가정 청소년들은 자신들을 ‘다문화’로 호칭하고 범주화 하는 것에 대하여 부정적이지 않았으며 다문화에 대한 수용성은 매우 높은 것으로 판단되었다. 다문화 가정 청소년들의 다문화 역량 강화를 통한 교육 자본화를 위해서는 다문화에 초점을 맞춘 별도의 지원보다는 개개인이 가진 글로벌 연결고리들을 활용하고 잠재력을 발휘할 수 있도록 나이에 맞는 정책적 지원과 함께 다문화 가정을 이룬 부모들에 대한 교육이 중요함을 도출하였다. 아울러 한국인 모두를 대상으로 지속적인 글로벌 시민교육이 진행되어 아직도 남아있는 출신 국에 따라 달리 바라보고 행동하는 편견과 고정관념이 사라지도록 하는 노력이 필요함을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study is performed for the multi-cultural household teenagers to know how they accept multi-culture, the level of their acceptance, and the ways of educationally developing them for educational capitalization. The study employed qualitative research with free writing technique, in-depth interview and observations in cultural area analysis. The result of the study is that the teenagers don't feel negative toward being categorized as multi-cultural, and the level of their accepting multi-culture is very high. To make the multi-cultural teenagers the efficient and effective educational capital, it had better to focus on their personal global links and potential assets supporting age-customized policies, instead of the present additional "multi-cultural" support, and to educate their parents with proper parental classes. At the same time it is essential to have programs for Koreans to make them global citizens to shy away from the stereotypical and one-side view against those from third countries.
