현대 중국어 2음절 단일 품사어 ‘X＋然’의 생성과 도출

본고는 『現代漢語詞典』(第7版)에 실린 어휘를 전수 조사하여 그중 현대 중국어 2음절 단일 품사어 ‘X+然’ 구조의 형태ㆍ통사적 특징을 분석하여 구명(究明)하였다. 연구 결과는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 현대 중국어 ‘X+然’ 구조에 보이는 단일 품사어는 형용사, 구별사, 부사, 접속사, 동사, 명사가 있으며, 그중 형용사가 가장 많다. 또 기존의 학설처럼 ‘-然’이 형용사와 부사의 접미사임을 보여 주고 있지만 동사, 구별사, 접속사 등의 접미사로도 쓰이고 있다. 둘째, ‘X+然’은 형태론적 낱말 기능뿐 아니라 어근구(Root Phrase)의 투사를 통해 통합합성어(synthetic compound)를 형성하여 통사적 연산에서 분산적 역할로 생성ㆍ도출된다. 결론적으로 ‘X+然’은 ‘然’이 접미사로서 곡용과 활용 없이 기능범주(functional category) 역할을 하면서 형태ㆍ통사 층위에서 내현적 분산형태(covert distributed morpheme) 방식으로 생성ㆍ도출되고 있는 통합합성어이다.
Abstract
This paper aims to analyze and identify the morphological and syntactic features of the two-syllable structure ‘X+ran(然)’(unipartite words of parts-of-speech) and its generation and derivation within modern Chinese. The results of this paper are as follows. First, there are adjectives, distinctives, adverbs, conjunctions, verbs, and nouns in modern Chinese ‘X+ran(然).’ Contrary to existing arguments, it was found that ‘ran(然)’ of ‘X+ran(然)’ not only functions as a suffix in adjectives and adverbs, but also functions as a suffix for verbs, distinctives, and conjunctions. Second, ‘X+ran(然)’ does not function solely with the morphological features of structuralism, but rather generates and derives syntactic structures flexibly after generating the synthetic compound words through the generation and projection of the Root Phrase. In conclusion, ‘X+ran(然)’ consists of covert synthetic compounds of distributed morphology which has morphological and syntactic features, and is connected to syntactic layers in order to express its identity.
