이탈리아의 마르크스주의자 그람시의 일반개념을 국제정치학의 영역으로 발전시킨 네오그람시 이론은 지난 수년 동안 IPE/IR 영역에서 주목할 만한 성과를 이루어냈다. 전통적 IPE 이론이 세계적 차원에서 진행되는 구조변화를 국가 간의헤게모니 질서에 초점을 맞추고 있는 반면에, 네오그람시 이론은 현재의 변화를무엇보다 국제적 차원에서의 사회세력의 재구조화라는 측면에서 접근한다. 이 논문은 목적은 세계화에 대한 네오그람시적 전망을 기초한 로버트 콕스의 이론을중심으로 국제사회에서 권력의 지배구조를 분석하는 동시에, 사회적 평등과 민주적 통제를 가능하게 하는 대안적 구조에 대한 이론적 모색을 시도하는 데 있다.
Abstract
The neo-gramscian approach by advancing upon the general conceptual framework of the italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci hat in the last decades achieved its unmovable position within the field of International Political Economy. Against the orthodox-IPE, which analysed the radical structural change by focusing on interstate hegemonic order, approached above all in this regards to the worldwide restructuring of the social forces. The purpose of this article is, according to the theory of Robert Cox introduced the neo-gramcian approach, to analyse the balance of social forces in order both to identify the prevailing structure of power and the possibilities of transforming that structure so as to enhance social equity and democratic control.
