혁명의 혼란과 내전에 의한 파괴, 그리고 사회·경제 시스템의 붕괴 속에서 사회주의를 건설해야 하는 초기 이행 과정에서 러시아혁명 주체들은 혁명 수호와 붕괴된시스템 복구라는 상황적 요구에 압도되어 소비에트, 공장위원회 등 자기통치적 민중권력의 싹을 발전시켜나가지 못하고 당-국가로의 권력 집중과 국가기구의 비대화로 나아갔다. 내전의 승리를 전망했던 1920년대 초에 벌어진 ‘노동조합 논쟁’은 초기 이행기에 국가 문제를 둘러싼 상황적 요구와 사회주의 원리 사이의 대립과 갈등이 극명하게 표출된 것이었고, 따라서 ‘프롤레타리아 민주주의’ 논쟁으로 비화했다.
Abstract
During the early transition process that should construct the Socialism under the condition of revolutionary upheaval, destruction due to the civil war, and collapse of the social and economic system, subjects of Russian Revolution were overwhelmed by the conjunctural necessity like defence of revolution and reconstruction of the collapsed system, proceeding to concentrate power in the hands of party and state and to enlarge the state apparatus, instead of developing the embryo of the self-governed people power like Soviets and factory committees. ‘Trade Union Debate’ in the early 1920s when it was possible to prospect the victory of the civil war, represented the confrontation and conflict between the conjunctural necessity and the socialist principle on the state problem in the early transition period, and accordingly escalated into the debate on ‘Proletarian Democracy.’
