본 연구의 목적은 학교 질서교육의 개념을 새롭게 정립한 후, 교육현실에서의 질서의 문제를 파악하여 질서교육의 방향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 질서교육의 구조적 개념을 시대의 변천에 따라 전근대적 질서, ‘나란히 서기’식의 근대교육 질서, 현대후기의 카오스모스식 질서로 분석하여 재 정립시켜보았다. 교육질서의 문제로는 가치관의 변화, 교육정책의 제 문제, 공교육 기능의 약화로 보았다. 질서교육의 방향으로는 우리 문화적 특성에 맞는 질서 개념의 확립, 통제와 강제로서가 아닌 자율과 협동으로서의 질서, 도덕 교과를 통한 질서교육 뿐만 아니라 다양한 방법을 통해 질서교육을 접근하며, 질서교육의 내용은 구체적이고 실질적으로 구성하여 학습자가 인식하고 실제적으로 실천하는 데 도움이 되도록 제시 하였다. 교육이 기본적으로 변동하는 사회적 실재를 준거점으로 하고 있다면 질서교육의 목적, 내용, 방법 등 제반 측면이 모두 변화해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to redefine the notion of 'order education in schools' and then to identify the problems related to 'order education' within the reality of practiced education. After this has been done, new solutions to these problems will be suggested. To do this an archeology of the concept of 'order education' in Korea will done, starting from the modern understanding of 'order education' as 'standing in line' and concluding with 'order education' viewed within a more contemporary paradigm such as the 'chaosmos theory'. The causes of the problems related to the order of education can be summarized as (1) the shift of value (2) ossification of the educational system due to exaggeration of authority (3)incoherence of adminstration (4) the deterioration of the function of public education. The new directions that can be suggested for order education (1) establishment of order education that is appropriate to the cultural context of Korea (2) understanding order education in the light of such notions as autonomy and cooperation ；contrasted with force and obedience (3) supplying order education through the subject of 'ethics'. (4) structuring the contents of order education concretely and practically, going beyond mere theory.
