유비쿼터스 기술 기반의 홈 네트워크는 한국의 “IT839 전략” 프로젝트 중 신기술의 한 종류로써 전 세계적으로 빠른 성장이 예상되고 있다. 기존에 홈 네트워크에 관한 몇몇의 연구들이 진행되어 왔지만 홈 네트워크의 이용이 가족관계 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 것은 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 구조방정식모형을 이용하여 홈 네트워크 고객 만족에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 다양한 요인들간의 직•간접 효과를 알아보고, 홈 네트워크 사용 전후의 가족간의 의사 소통 정도를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 가족의 수가 적을수록 홈 네트워크 사용 후에 가족간의 유대감이 높아질 확률이 높았으며, 또한 컴퓨터 사용 정도가 중간 정도 (하루 평균 2-4시간) 일 때, 홈 네트워크 사용 후 가족간의 유대감이 낮아질 확률이 높았음을 알게 되었다. 본 연구결과는 긍정적인 홈 네트워크 거주 문화 정립에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
Home network based on ubiquitous technology is expected to have a rapid growth in demand worldwide and it has been selected as one of “IT839 strategy” project in Korea. Although some studies had been done, effect of utilization of home network on family relation was scarce. In this paper, we propose a structural equation model (SEM) to come up with both direct and indirect effects of several factors on home network customer satisfaction. Moreover we analyze the degree of interaction between family members before and after using home network. The results of our study indicated the following: for a small family, family interaction increases after home network use, and when the degree of computer use is medium (daily computer usage, 2-4 hours), family interaction becomes lower after experiencing home network. This research result is expected to contribute on establishing positive family culture on home network residence.
