최근 전 세계적으로 미래인터넷에 대한 다양한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이며, 특히 무선과 이동 환경을 고려한 미래인터넷 설계가 주요한 이슈로 등장하고 있다. 본 논문은 무선과 이동환경에 최적화된 미래인터넷 (MOFI: Mobile-Optimized Future Internet) 설계를 위한 기반 연구로서 미래인터넷을 위한 이동성 제어 프레임워크를 제안한다. 먼저, 미래인터넷에서 요구되는 이동성 제어 기능 및 특성에 대하여 알아보고, 이를 토대로 이동성 제어 기능구조를 설계한다. 또한, 이동성 제어를 위한 세부 절차로서 위치등록, 위치조회 및 데이터 전달, 그리고 핸드오버 동작 방식을 기술한다. 제안하는 프레임워크를 토대로 향후에는 보다 상세한 이동성 제어 프로토콜 구조와 함께 제안 구조를 반영한 미래인터넷 전체 구조에 대한 설계가 이루어 질 것으로 기대되며, 아울러 관련 국제표준화 활동도 함께 추진될 예정이다.
Abstract
The effective support of wireless and mobile environment has been considered as one of the primary requirements for Future Internet. This paper proposes a mobility control framework for Future Internet, which could be used as a key reference for design of the Mobile-Optimized Future Internet (MOFI). For this purpose, we first identify the functionality and characteristics for mobility control for Future Internet. Based on this, the functional architecture is designed for mobility control. We also describe the information flows for mobility control, which include the location registration, location query for data delivery, and handover control. It is expected that the proposed framework of mobility control could be helpful for design of the protocol architecture for MOFI, and also that the related works would be progressed for international standardization.
